The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique number that identifies a physical phone to mobile networks. It is one of the signals platforms can use as part of a device’s fingerprint.

Emulators and virtualized environments either lack a real IMEI or generate one that does not line up with the rest of the device — a mismatch detectors look for. A real phone has a genuine, consistent IMEI by definition.

Every DistrictDroid phone is a real Pixel with a real IMEI on a real US carrier, so this layer of identity is authentic, not fabricated.
